Without a doubt, one of the most truly interesting crime films I’ve watched within the last year. And imagine, this probably did not even make the movie theaters at all and went straight to video. Such a gem, worthy of your monthly online video subscription fee (and I recommend Block Buster, NOT the Netflix).
Directed by Dominique Forma and written by Dominique Forma and Daniel Golka, this based-on-a-true-story film develops in so many twists and turns that it is very hard to tell where it’s heading for. That’s why the ending comes as a fresh revelation and catches us by surprise.
Jeff Bridges plays Jimmy Berg, a powerful man of questionable background who is kidnapped by Lenny, a young thug who can drive a car like his idol Steve McQueen does in the “Bullit (1968)”.
